We shared a teary-eyed goodbye with the Smiths while in PA. Love you guys. Hope to see you in 4-5 years! 愛する友人、スミス家との最後の写真。4,5年後に会いましょう!

As we mentioned in our previous update, we have tickets to leave Greenville, SC for Japan on September 13th. That’s only 39 days from the writing of this update! Thank you so much for your prayers. We’re excited about everything God is doing as we follow His leading to Japan. He is answering your prayers and ours in an incredible way.

We only need a few hundred dollars more per month in order to leave for Japan. Please click here and sign up with a monthly pledge amount of $200, $100, $50 or $25 so we can leave for Japan in September. If the support page is confusing please call our mission board at 603-821-5232 so they can quickly help you set up monthly support over the phone.

God is graciously answering your prayers in the lives of our family. Nozomi’s been feeling much better lately and Mona is wearing 6-months-size even though she’s just 3 months old and was born a month early!

Taishi and I had a great trip to PA. Both Sunday services went miraculously well. I was able to spend some much needed quality time with my son. We ate lots of bacon, pizza, ice cream, and donuts. But more importantly we had opportunities to talk through the Gospel and to listen to the Bible and pray together.

We are still trying to figure out shipping options for some of our household items and books. Please pray we can work out timing since we will need to find a place to live before our container reaches Japan.

Pray for God’s grace for Nozomi and me during this stressful time, that we live out God’s love and patience to each other and to the children.

Pray for our children as they experience a life-changing journey ahead of them, that God will show them He is all we need so we need to cling to Him.

Emi and I are looking forward to finding a new daddy-date spot in Japan. Although Tandem’s coffee and crepes will be hard to replace.

Anyone want to start a Chick-fil-A in Japan? Pop-pop bought us some lunch after he picked us up from the airport.
